Istanbul Delight is an 11% ABV makgeolli from Gyeonggi-do, brewed with polished Gyeonggi Sema rice, wheat-containing starter, and yeast. The creamy texture arrives from the first sip, delivering a plush, dessert-like mouthfeel that sets it apart from lighter makgeolli styles. Sweetness is present but supported by fermentation depth, avoiding flat sugar notes. Served cold, it creates an appealing sweet-savory contrast alongside jeon, fried chicken, and spicy kimchi dishes.
