Doksan 53 is a 53% ABV distilled spirit from Gyeonggi-do, made from domestic rice, nuruk, yeast, and purified water. At 53%, this is among the highest-proof traditional Korean spirits available, a concentration that demands precision in distillation and selects for drinkers who appreciate intensity. The compact 250ml bottle signals this is meant for focused sipping in small measures, not casual consumption. The nose is powerful and direct - concentrated toasted grain, warm alcohol, a deep caramel-like sweetness, and the characteristic earthy nuruk presence amplified by the high proof.
