Yasu S 53 is a 53% ABV soju from Incheon, distilled entirely from Ganghwa Island rice and sweet potato. The cask-strength proof delivers a commanding spirit where sweet potato's roasted warmth and Ganghwa rice's clean grain character concentrate into intense, layered complexity. Despite the high alcohol, the distillation is smooth enough that sweetness and earthiness remain discernible rather than buried under heat. At 375ml, this is a contemplative sipping spirit best taken neat in small measures alongside rich grilled meats or aged cheeses.
