Sinryemyeongju is a 50% ABV citrus spirit from Jeju-do, distilled from Jeju-grown tangerines and citrus distillate. At 50%, this is one of the higher-proof Korean fruit spirits, a bold statement that concentrates Jeju's signature citrus into an intense, aromatic package. The dual-source approach — whole tangerines plus citrus distillate — suggests layered extraction: fresh fruit character from the tangerines and concentrated aromatic oils from the distillate. The nose is powerful and immediate — bright tangerine peel, candied citrus, a warm marmalade richness, and a subtle white-pepper spice from the high proof. On the palate, the body is medium-full with a smooth, oily texture that manages the 50% strength with remarkable poise.
