Seoul White Night is a 15% ABV makgeolli from Mongta Brewery in Seoul, fermented with tiger nuruk to produce a profile that is distinctly bolder than most fresh-style cloudy rice wines. The opening is creamy and sweet, but the palate quickly deepens into rich fermented grain territory with a firm, structured finish. At this proof, it occupies an interesting middle ground between light makgeolli and full-bodied yakju. A compact 360ml bottle, it works well alongside grilled meats and richly seasoned stews.
