Description

Red Wine 500 is a 12% ABV red fruit wine from Godori Winery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, crafted from eco-friendly Kyoho (Geobong) grapes. The environmental focus in the vineyard carries through to the wine's character — clean-grown fruit tends to express itself more purely, and here the Kyoho grape's natural jamminess arrives without any harsh or chemical undertones. The nose opens with concentrated dark grape, blackberry preserve, and a warm, inviting sweetness. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a plush, juicy texture that feels generous and full-hearted. The Kyoho grape's famous sweetness is front and center, yet the eco-friendly cultivation seems to preserve a fresher, brighter acidity than conventionally grown fruit might produce. This subtle structural element prevents the wine from becoming monotonous. The finish is moderate, warm, and leaves a pleasant berry-jam glow. The 500ml format sits comfortably between solo and shared servings. The winery was recognized as a 2018 Chajaganeun Yangjojang. Serve at 10-13°C with cheese boards where the jammy fruit meets aged varieties nicely, alongside casual appetizer spreads, or with vanilla-based desserts like crème brûlée where the dark grape enriches the custard pairing.
