Neukkim 19.8 is the lighter expression in the Neukkim range, bottled at 19.8% ABV from Gyeongsangbuk-do using the same domestic white rice, nuruk, yeast, and purified water base. This lower proof shifts the spirit from sipping territory into something closer to a strong table wine in terms of drinking context - light enough for extended meals, substantial enough to still register as a spirit. The reduced alcohol allows more of the fermented grain's natural character to come forward without the warmth and intensity of higher proof. The nose is delicate and grain-forward - steamed rice, a gentle yeast-bread sweetness, and just a whisper of nuruk earthiness.
