Description

Grand Tigre CE2002 is a 12% ABV fruit wine from Wolryuwon Brewery in Chungcheongbuk-do, made solely from Campbell Early grapes with no additional fruit blending. Where the M1988 cuvee adds omija for complexity, CE2002 strips back to showcase Campbell Early in its purest form. The nose is clean and direct, with ripe Concord-grape sweetness, berry candy, and a faintly floral quality. On the palate, the body is light-medium with an approachable, immediately friendly character. The grape sweetness is upfront and honest, without any distracting secondary flavors - this transparency makes the wine remarkably easy to read and enjoy. The acidity is gentle but present enough to prevent flatness, and the finish is clean and moderate. For guests new to Korean fruit wines, CE2002 is an excellent starting point: familiar, well-crafted, and free of intimidating complexity. Serve at 8-11°C with simple appetizers like crackers and mild cheese, alongside fruit salads or light finger foods at casual gatherings, or as a relaxed afternoon pour with minimal fuss.
