그랑꼬또 청수
Geurangkkotto Cheongsu is a 12% ABV fruit wine from Gyeonggi-do, made with Cheongsu grapes — a Korean-bred white grape variety developed specifically for domestic viticulture. Cheongsu is notable for its clean aromatics, balanced sugar-acid ratio, and suitability to Korea's humid continental climate, making it one of the most promising indigenous grape cultivars for winemaking. The nose is elegant and aromatic, presenting green grape, Asian pear, and a subtle white-flower lift. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a refined, almost silky texture. The sweetness is clean and precise, integrated with a natural acidity that gives the wine genuine structure and food-pairing versatility. Unlike many sweeter Korean fruit wines, this one reads as poised and composed. The finish is moderate, clean, and leaves a refreshing grape-skin minerality. The wine's competition record is exceptional: Grand Prize in the fruit wine category at the 2019 Korea Traditional Liquor Awards and Excellence Award in 2020. Made by a 2017 Chajaganeun Yangjojang producer. The 750ml bottle is ideal for seafood meals. Serve at 7-10°C with raw fish (hoe) where the brightness cleanses between bites, with steamed shellfish, or alongside delicate Korean appetizers like hobak jeon.
