Description
Geurangkkotto Rosé Wine is a 12% ABV rosé fruit wine from Gyeonggi-do, part of the Geurangkkotto (Grand Coteaux) range that demonstrates Korean-grown grapes can produce expressive pink wines with genuine character. The rosé style is still relatively uncommon in Korean winemaking, making this bottle a noteworthy addition to the domestic scene. The nose opens with ripe strawberry, watermelon rind, and a delicate floral sweetness that captures the playful spirit of rosé. On the palate, the body is light with a bright, refreshing texture. The grape sweetness is measured - present enough to be crowd-friendly yet lifted by natural acidity that keeps the wine feeling alive and versatile. There is a faint mineral-like quality in the mid-palate that adds a subtle savory dimension. The finish is short to moderate, clean, and leaves a pleasant pink-fruit freshness. Made by a 2017 Chajaganeun Yangjojang (Visiting Brewery) producer, the wine benefits from polished regional craft. The 750ml bottle suits warm-weather gatherings. Serve well-chilled at 6-10°C with cheese and charcuterie boards, light seafood dishes, or alongside fresh Korean vegetable wraps (ssam) where the rosé's brightness matches the greens.
