
추사 블루베리 와인
Chusa Blueberry Wine is an 11% ABV fruit wine from Yesan Apple Wine Brewery in Chungcheongnam-do, built around 60% locally grown Yesan blueberries. The high proportion of regional blueberry fruit gives this wine a vivid purple-blue hue and a pronounced berry identity that feels genuinely fruit-driven rather than artificially flavored. The nose bursts with fresh blueberry, a hint of cassis, and a subtle jam-like sweetness. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a juicy, staining quality — the blueberry concentration coats the tongue with dark-fruit richness while citric acid provides a bright counterbalance. Sugar is added for fermentation support, but the finished wine avoids cloying heaviness because the natural berry acidity structures every sip. The finish is moderate, clean, and leaves a pleasant berry tartness. Preserved with sulfite and sorbate for stability, it holds well once opened. The 375ml bottle is sized for an intimate dessert pairing. The brewery was designated a 2014 Chajaganeun Yangjojang, and the Yesan region is known for quality fruit cultivation. Serve chilled at 7-10°C with creamy brie or camembert where the berry cuts fat, alongside mixed nuts and dried fruit appetizers, or with chocolate-based desserts where the blueberry intensity amplifies cocoa.
