Description

Choseon's Dream is a 12% ABV grape fruit wine from Yeopo Wine Farm Brewery in Chungcheongbuk-do, made entirely from domestically grown Korean grapes. The name evokes a classical Korean literary figure, and the wine itself aims for understated grace rather than bold intensity. The nose opens with soft grape blossom, a hint of white peach, and gentle candy-fruit sweetness that signals approachability from the start. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a silky texture that lets the grape's natural sweetness unfold gradually across the midpalate - there is no sudden sugar spike, just a steady, rounded warmth. A faint acidity hides beneath the surface, preventing the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional. The finish is moderate in length, clean, and leaves a pleasant grape-skin whisper. Bottled in a 375ml format, it works as a personal pour or shared dessert companion. The brewery holds a 2019 Chajaganeun Yangjojang (Visiting Brewery) designation, confirming its dedication to regional grape craft. Serve chilled at 8-11°C with creamy cheese where the fruit cuts through richness, alongside delicate appetizers, or with lighter desserts like fruit tarts where the grape sweetness echoes without competing.
