Seochon Makgeolli 15 is a 15% ABV makgeolli from Seoul, brewed by Onjisul Doga using domestic glutinous rice and wheat-containing nuruk. The unusually high proof for a makgeolli gives it a dense, warming body that goes well beyond casual sipping territory. Glutinous rice delivers a pronounced creamy richness, while the wheat nuruk adds a fermentation depth that keeps the sweetness layered rather than flat. It is a bold choice for hearty Korean fare, especially hot jeon platters, crispy fried dishes, and strongly seasoned kimchi where its weight can stand up to intense flavors.
