Onjio is a 10% ABV makgeolli from Seoul, crafted by Onji Brewery using domestic glutinous rice, dried omija (schisandra berry), sweet potato, potato, and wheat-containing nuruk. This unusual combination of root vegetables and the five-flavor omija berry creates a profile that shifts between creamy grain sweetness and vivid berry tartness in each sip. At 500ml and 10%, it occupies a mid-weight craft position that rewards slower drinking and food pairing exploration.
