명인 안동소주 하회탈
Myeongin Andong Soju Hahoetal is a 45% ABV expression that honors Andong's Hahoe mask dance heritage through a 100% Korean rice spirit of considerable intensity and restraint. Crafted under Korean Food Master No. 6, Park Jae-seo, with the brewery's 2015 Find-a-Brewery pedigree, this bottle carries cultural weight. The nose is assertive yet composed — pure grain clarity, a firm rice-starch aroma, and a disciplined alcohol warmth that stays integrated despite the high proof. A faint nuruk complexity adds a savory undertone. On the palate, the body is medium-full with a clean, firm texture that reflects the rice purity. The grain character is austere and focused: dry, almost mineral rice notes with none of the sweetness that lower-proof expressions allow. There is a quiet power in the mid-palate — the alcohol declares itself as warmth rather than burn, building steadily and evenly. The finish is long, dry, and clean, with persistent grain warmth and a mineral close. At 800ml, this is a generous format for a spirit of this caliber. Serve neat at room temperature, where the full structural intensity can be appreciated, alongside bold-flavored Korean dishes like galbi, bossam, or jokbal that need a spirit with backbone.
