명인 안동소주
Myeongin Andong Soju is a 45% ABV flagship spirit from Gyeongsangbuk-do that represents the definitive expression of Korean Food Master No. 6, Park Jae-seo's craft. Built on 100% Korean rice with nuruk fermentation and traditional distillation, it embodies the Andong soju tradition at full strength. The nose is pure and direct — clean cooked rice, a firm grain austerity, and an underlying nuruk complexity that reveals itself slowly. The alcohol is present but restrained, integrated rather than aggressive. On the palate, the body is medium-full with a dense, polished texture. The rice character dominates: dry, clean, and mineral-edged, with a savory depth that separates it from the anonymity of mass-produced spirits. There is a subtle grain sweetness at mid-palate — not sugary but more like the faint sweetness of freshly steamed rice — before the spirit tightens into a dry, focused close. The finish is long, steady, and warming, with rice grain persistence and a clean mineral tail. The 2015 Find-a-Brewery designation validates the traditional production. At 800ml, this is the everyday-to-special-occasion format. Serve at room temperature alongside Korean grilled meats, rich stews, or fermented dishes where the spirit's structural clarity provides a commanding counterpoint.
