Cool Mak is an 8.5% ABV makgeolli from Seoul, infusing an ambitious botanical mix of ginger, apple mint, spearmint, rosemary, hops, and lactic culture into a glutinous rice base. The multiple herbs and spices create a layered aromatic profile that moves from warm ginger heat to cool mint freshness to piney rosemary, all anchored by the creamy chapssal texture. Hops add a faint bitter edge at the finish, while lactic cultures provide balancing acidity. It pairs well with rich fried foods where its herbal complexity and refreshing finish cut through oil and grease.
