Yeonhui Mint

Description

Yeonhui Mint is a 9% ABV makgeolli from Seoul's Gati Brewery that adds mint to a base of non-glutinous rice, glutinous rice, and nuruk. The mint delivers a cool, refreshing lift on the nose and palate that contrasts pleasantly with the warm, creamy body of the rice fermentation. At 375ml and 9%, it sits at a moderate proof that allows the mint to express itself without being masked by strong alcohol heat. The herbal coolness and grain sweetness do not clash but instead create an alternating rhythm where each element takes the lead in turn — mint on the nose and finish, rice in the mid-palate.
