Jindo Baekju Cheongju

Description

Jindo Baekju is a 38% ABV clear rice spirit from Jeollanam-do, brewed with 100% Korean rice and distinguished by the addition of domestic jicho (Lithospermum erythrorhizon), a root historically used in Korean dyeing and herbal medicine. The jicho introduces a subtle herbal nuance — slightly sweet, slightly bitter, and faintly floral — that layers over the clean rice distillate base. The nose stays transparent, but the palate opens into layered warmth with an elegant, extended finish. Oligosaccharides and alanine in the formulation add a rounded sweetness and body. This is a spirit designed for slow, attentive sipping alongside refined Korean cuisine such as steamed seafood or full-course hanjeongsik.
