The plain-rice sibling from Darangyi Farm in Namhae uses underground purified water with 9-polished rice and glutinous rice, plus a blended nuruk, for a 6% makgeolli that foregrounds clean grain over added flavoring. The aroma presents steamed rice and fresh dough with a whiff of wildflower from the terraced-paddy terroir. On the palate, the body is medium-light and gently creamy, with a balanced sweetness that tilts toward savory rather than candy. The finish is tidy with a quiet starchy tail. Serve at 5-8°C. Pairs naturally with samchi-gui grilled mackerel where the clean body absorbs the rich fish oil, or doenjang-guk soybean paste soup for an everyday Korean home-meal harmony.
