Description

Darangyi Farm in Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do - surrounded by the iconic terraced rice paddies cascading to the sea - uses organic 7-polished rice with eco-farmed local yuzu juice and a blended nuruk for this 6% makgeolli. The aroma bursts with fresh yuzu zest and white flower honey, over a gentle lactic base. On the palate, the body is medium-light and silky, with yuzu's bright acidity creating a lemony spine that lifts the organic rice sweetness. The finish is crisp and refreshing with lingering citrus oil. Serve very cold at 4-6°C. Pairs beautifully with grilled hairtail (galchi-gui) where citrus cuts the oily fish, or chilled kongguksu soy-milk noodles for a summer table.
