Description

Buan Champpongju is a 13% ABV mulberry fruit wine from Buan county in Jeollabuk-do, featuring Korean mulberry (odi) at over 30% of the total composition. The mulberry delivers a lush, generous berry tone - darker and earthier than typical bokbunja (black raspberry), with a slightly tannic edge that adds textural interest. At 13%, the wine sits in comfortable territory between a light table wine and a heavier dessert pour, with enough acidity from citric and malic acid additions to keep the palate engaged. The 375ml bottle is portioned for a focused tasting session or a dessert pairing, and the Buan terroir gives it a distinctly Jeolla regional character.
