Description

Uri WRY Bunhongsogeum Makgeolli is a 12% ABV makgeolli from Seoul, blending Korean rice with Himalayan pink salt, natural coloring, lactic acid bacteria, nuruk, and yeast. The pink salt addition is distinctive - rather than making the drink overtly salty, it introduces a mineral undercurrent that enhances the grain sweetness and rounds out the mouthfeel. The higher proof gives this more structure than typical makgeolli, while lactic acid bacteria provide a gentle tang. At 700ml, it pairs naturally with fried foods, jeon, and spicy dishes where the mineral-salted body offers contrast.
