Description

Sparkling Wine Omiroje Gyeol is a 12% ABV sparkling fruit wine from Ominara Brewery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, made from omija (magnolia berry). This is a more festive and structurally complex companion to the still Omiroje Yeon — the addition of carbonation transforms the omija experience into something livelier and more celebratory. The nose bursts with bright omija berry, tangy sweetness, and a citrus-like floral top note, all amplified by the effervescence. On the palate, the body is light-medium with fine bubbles that sharpen the fruit character and add a crisp, textural dimension. The omija's sweet-tart duality is more vivid in sparkling format — the sweetness opens each sip and the tartness snaps through in the finish, creating a dynamic rhythm. The carbonation ensures nothing sits heavy. Produced by a 2016 Visiting Brewery designee, the wine carries the same regional craft credentials as the rest of the Ominara lineup. Serve well-chilled at 6-9°C at celebrations and toasts where the sparkling format and vivid color set a mood, alongside cheese and appetizer platters, or with festive desserts where the omija sparkle adds a Korean twist.
