Description

Omiroje Peurimieo Wine is a 12% ABV rosé-style fruit wine from Ominara Brewery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, made entirely from omija berries grown in Mungyeong - one of Korea's premier omija-producing regions. The Mungyeong terroir is key: the mountain valley climate concentrates the berry's flavors, and this wine captures that intensity in a vivid ruby-pink pour. The nose leads with ripe berry jam and a tangy citrus edge, followed by a subtle floral undertone. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a bright, juicy attack. The sweetness is generous but the omija's inherent tartness pulls everything forward, creating a dynamic palate that keeps moving. The finish is smooth and dessert-friendly, with lingering berry warmth. The brewery was selected for the 2016 Visiting Brewery program, highlighting its regional significance. Serve chilled at 7-10°C with soft cheeses where the berry acidity creates contrast, alongside light appetizers where the rosé color and bright flavor set a mood, or with fruit-forward desserts where the omija's tart-sweet signature amplifies rather than competes.
