오미로제 연
Omi Rose Yeon is an 8% ABV omija fruit wine from Ominara Brewery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, made entirely from magnolia berries (omija). Omija is one of Korea's most fascinating native ingredients — the name literally means 'five-flavor berry,' encompassing sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and pungent notes in a single fruit. This wine foregrounds the sweet-tart spectrum of that complexity, presenting it in a beautiful rose-tinted pour. The nose opens with bright berry-like sweetness and a distinctive tangy, slightly herbal lift. On the palate, the body is light with a vivid, energetic character. The sweetness is welcoming but the omija's natural tartness and a subtle bitter edge keep the profile dynamic, with flavors shifting and layering across each sip. The finish is clean and refreshing, with a gentle peppery warmth that recalls the berry's pungent fifth flavor. Designated as a 2016 Visiting Brewery, Ominara carries strong regional ties to Gyeongsangbuk-do's omija-growing areas. Serve at 7-10°C with light desserts like fruit tarts where the berry tartness amplifies, alongside soft cheese where the sweet-sour tension creates contrast, or as an aperitif that opens the palate with its multi-dimensional character.
