Choryeon is a 20% ABV grape-based spirit from Sanmak Winery in Chungcheongbuk-do, where grapes undergo vinification before distillation to produce a clean, smooth profile with subtle fruit depth. The result sits between a grappa and a refined Korean soju, combining vinous character with the clarity expected of distilled spirits. International recognition reinforces its quality: a Judges' Recommendation at the International Wine Challenge, a Bronze at the London Wine Competition, and acknowledgment at the Korean National Liquor Awards.
