로제와인
Roje Wine is a 12% ABV rosé fruit wine from Galgisan Grape Farm Brewery in Chungcheongbuk-do, made from domestically grown Korean grapes. The straightforward name belies a well-crafted wine — this bottle earned the 2019 Korea Traditional Liquor Awards Excellence Prize in the fruit wine category, which speaks to the quality hiding behind its simple label. The nose opens with soft, perfumed grape and a rounded berry sweetness. On the palate, the body is medium with a smooth, polished texture that feels more refined than many Korean fruit wines at this price point. The sweetness is prominent but never overwhelming, with enough underlying acidity to maintain poise and freshness. The finish is moderate and clean, with gentle grape warmth fading gracefully. The 550ml bottle sits between a half-bottle and a standard 750ml, making it versatile for different occasions. Serve at 8-12°C with hoe (raw fish) where the rosé's smooth fruitiness lifts delicate fish flavors, alongside cheese and light appetizers, or with Korean-style charcuterie plates where the wine provides a soft, fruity counterpoint.
