Description

Lotusdameunsul is an 8% ABV herbal makgeolli from Gyeonggi-do that layers roasted Solomon's seal (dunggulle), Korean mugwort, and licorice over a hyangon-gok nuruk base made from mung bean, barley, and wheat. This unusual starter culture gives the brew a creamy body with herbal complexity that goes well beyond a standard rice-based makgeolli. The aroma opens with earthy, toasted notes before giving way to a softly sweet palate with lingering botanical lift. A touch of saccharin sodium is used for sweetness balancing, while the generous 850ml bottle makes it suitable for sharing with friends over a spread of Korean comfort food.
