어우야
Eouya is a 16% ABV botanical spirit from Jeju Island, built around yagwanmun (Lespedeza cuneata), a leguminous herb native to the island that has been used in Korean folk medicine. Combined with purified water, glucose, and yeast, the yagwanmun infusion produces an earthy, green-herbaceous character distinct from the fruit-forward profiles common in Korean traditional alcohol. Crafted by Wangjike Brewery on Jeju, the spirit captures a sense of place — the volcanic soil and mild maritime climate of the island are reflected in the plant's aromatic intensity. At 16%, it sits in a drinkable mid-range that reveals the herb's complexity without the burning intensity of higher-proof spirits.
