Baengkkore Roje Wine

Description

Baengkkore Rose Wine is an 11.5% ABV rosé fruit wine from Hanguk Wine Brewery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, crafted from winemaking-grade grapes grown in Yeongcheon. The rosé treatment extracts just enough grape skin color and tannin to give the wine its characteristic pink hue and a hint of structural complexity beyond simple fruit-and-sugar. The nose is gentle and charming — ripe berry, rose petal, and soft grape candy with a clean, spring-like freshness. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a smooth, easy-drinking flow that bridges aperitif and dessert functions. The sweetness is friendly and rounded, never aggressive, and the partial skin contact adds a very faint tannic whisper that gives the wine more dimension than fully pressed white-style fruit wines. The fruit character stays bright and uplifting throughout, and the finish is moderate with a warm, berry-tinged close. The 375ml bottle works beautifully as a conversation-starter pour or paired dessert wine. The brewery was designated a 2017 Chajaganeun Yangjojang. Serve at 8-11°C as an elegant aperitif, alongside light cheese plates and charcuterie where the rosé color sets a festive mood, or with lighter desserts like strawberry shortcake or fruit mousse where the berry-grape character finds natural resonance.
