Description

Yecheonju Sawol24 is a 24% ABV distilled spirit from Gyeongsangbuk-do, sharing the same Korean omija foundation as its higher-proof sibling Sawol365 — distilled omija spirit blended with dried-omija extract. The lower ABV creates a softer, more relaxed expression that makes the omija character more immediately approachable without sacrificing complexity. Where Sawol365 demands attention, Sawol24 invites casual exploration. The nose is gentle yet vivid — bright berry tartness, a touch of dried cranberry, and a clean floral note. On the palate, the body is light-medium with a smooth, easy-flowing texture. The omija's five-taste complexity is present but expressed more quietly: the tartness is gentler, the sweetness more forward, and the peppery finish softer. This makes it particularly versatile at the dinner table, where it can accompany a broader range of dishes without overpowering. The finish is moderate, clean, and leaves a pleasant omija berry warmth. Bottled at 375ml. Serve slightly chilled at 10-14°C as a versatile mealtime spirit, with grilled meats, bossam, and raw fish where the soft omija acidity cleanses without sharpness.
