Malkeunnaeil Yuzu

Description

Malkeunnaeil Yuzu is a 7% ABV yuzu-infused clear rice wine (cheongju) from Gyeongsangnam-do, where bright yuzu juice cuts through the polished rice body to create a citrus-led profile that stays clean rather than sugary. The base is built from rice, nuruk, yeast, and ipguk (a rice-based koji), then reinforced with yuzu juice and a touch of fructose for balance. Despite the citrus addition, the fundamental structure remains that of a refined cheongju — smooth, composed, and food-friendly. Selected as a 2022 Visiting Brewery release, it reflects Gyeongsangnam-do craft sensibility with a distinctly modern, aromatic twist.
