Malkeunnaeil Balhyo Makgeolli Signature is a 6.5% ABV live fermented makgeolli from Gyeongsangnam-do, produced by Upo-ui Achim Brewery. Its quality earned the Grand Prize in the live makgeolli (saengmakgeolli) category at the 2022 International Liquor Awards, a significant distinction that validates both its fermentation technique and flavor execution. Made with domestic white rice, nuruk, purified enzyme, and yeast, the body delivers plush rice creaminess with a focused, sweet finish. The brewery recommends serving at 5-10 degrees Celsius to reveal the fullest aromatic range and a more layered, textured drinking experience across the 930ml bottle.
