Description

Ilyeop Pyeonju is a 38% ABV soju from Gyeongsangbuk-do, produced by Nongam Jongtaek Traditional Brewery using both glutinous and non-glutinous Korean rice with wheat-based nuruk. The dual-rice approach gives the distillate a layered grain texture - the glutinous rice contributing body and sweetness, the non-glutinous rice adding clarity and structure. At 375ml, it follows the standard premium soju format. The nuruk fermentation imparts subtle earthy complexity beneath the clean surface, and the 38% strength is high enough to carry depth but not so high as to overwhelm. It is a traditional-method spirit for drinkers who appreciate grain-derived nuance over fruit or floral notes.
