Hwasim Soju Gun Rice is a 25% ABV soju from Gyeonggi-do, distilled from roasted rice using whisky yeast at Hwasim Brewery. The roasted rice base — gun-ssal, literally fire-roasted rice — creates a toasty, caramelized grain character that ordinary raw rice cannot produce, while whisky yeast introduces fermentation nuances closer to Scotch distilling traditions than typical Korean brewing. The result is a uniquely cross-cultural spirit at 300ml, suited to grilled meats, smoked dishes, and any food where roasted, charred flavors create natural resonance.
