Description

Gyeong Takju 12% is a full-bodied makgeolli from Gyeonggi-do, brewed by Jei1 Brewery using Korean rice with wheat-containing koji, yeast, and acidity regulator. At 12% ABV, it sits well above the casual 5-6% range, delivering a denser, more textured drinking experience that bridges everyday makgeolli and artisan takju. The wheat koji contributes a creamy, bread-like quality to the fermentation, and the acidity regulator keeps the finish clean rather than letting sweetness accumulate unchecked. At 500ml, it is built for hearty pairing - crispy jeon that needs a weighty creamy contrast, fried chicken where richness meets richness, and boldly seasoned kimchi dishes where the round body absorbs sharp, pungent flavors.
