Gimsuhanmu is a 39% ABV sorghum-based spirit from Chungcheongbuk-do, distilled from domestic sorghum with traditional nuruk and yeast. The name - a playful Korean tongue-twister - belies a serious spirit that carries substantial depth without rough edges. Sorghum gives the distillate a distinctive grain warmth and earthy undertone that differs markedly from rice-based soju, while careful distillation keeps the texture smooth and balanced throughout.
