Description

Gawaji Takju is a 7.5% ABV makgeolli from Peardari Doga in Gyeonggi-do, brewed with Gawaji rice - an heirloom Korean grain variety known for producing a particularly gentle, rounded texture in fermentation. This heritage rice gives the takju a softer, more nuanced grain character compared to standard commercial varieties. The body is creamy and sweet at first contact, then transitions to a clean finish that maintains food-pairing versatility. At 500ml and moderate proof, it is equally at home beside jeon, fried chicken, spicy kimchi, or simple banchan spreads.
