Yesnal Fresh Dongdongju is a 6% ABV dongdongju-style makgeolli from Jeollanam-do, brewed by Namdo Takju using domestic rice and rice flour. Dongdongju takes its name from rice grains that float (dongdong) on the surface, signaling a less filtered, more textural pour than standard makgeolli. The fermentation yields a creamy, lightly sweet body with a gentle grain aroma, while the low alcohol keeps it easygoing across a full meal. Artificial sweeteners (aspartame and acesulfame potassium) maintain the sweetness profile without adding sugar weight, resulting in a clean, refreshing finish.
