Sunchang Jiranjigyo Premium Chamomile Takju is a 12% ABV makgeolli from Jeollabuk-do, built on a dual-rice base of glutinous and non-glutinous rice with traditional nuruk, fig syrup, red beet powder, and chamomile essence. The chamomile lifts the grain base with a calming, tea-like floral note, while fig syrup adds a honeyed sweetness and red beet contributes subtle earthiness and color. At 500ml and 12%, this is a carefully composed makgeolli for those who appreciate botanical layering, pairing well with soft cheeses, fruit plates, and delicate Korean courses.
