Woltak is a 13.1% ABV makgeolli from Jeollabuk-do, produced by Hanguksul Doga using domestic rice, purified water, and nuruk in a stripped-back recipe that lets fermentation technique shape the final character. At 13.1%, it delivers noticeably more warmth and grain intensity than standard 6-8% makgeolli, placing it in a category closer to rustic farmhouse ales in weight and intention. The 500ml bottle and higher proof encourage slower, more deliberate drinking rather than casual pouring.
