Hwanggeum Barley Distilled Spirit 25 is the mid-range expression in Chungcheongnam-do's Hwanggeum Barley series, bottled at 25% ABV with over 40% domestic barley in the grain bill. Where the 17% version prioritizes accessibility, this bottling pushes barley character into a more confident register: the toasted grain aroma is fuller, the nuruk-derived umami is more defined, and the finish runs longer and drier. The spirit maintains clarity rather than sharpness, making it easy to transition from grilled galbi to bossam to raw fish without overpowering any of them. At 25%, it occupies the sweet spot between session-friendly and contemplative.
