호산춘
Hosanchun is an 18% ABV traditional spirit from Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, layering non-glutinous rice, glutinous rice, nuruk, and pine needles into a complex, deeply rooted flavor profile. The pine needles introduce a distinctive forest-fresh lift — resinous, green, and quietly aromatic — that sits over the grain base without overwhelming it. At 18%, the body carries impressive density and warmth, yet the pine's cooling effect prevents the spirit from feeling heavy or hot. Hosanchun holds designation as Gyeongsangbuk-do Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 18, a recognition that reflects centuries of accumulated brewing technique specific to the Mungyeong region. The dual-rice base provides both the chewy sweetness of glutinous rice and the clean structure of regular rice, creating a foundation sturdy enough to support the botanical overlay.
