한비 유자술
Hanbi Yuzusul is a 35% ABV spirit from Chungcheongbuk-do that marries Korean rice with domestically grown yuzu citrus. Despite being categorized as cheongju, the 35% strength places it firmly in distilled territory, where the rice provides a clean structural foundation and the yuzu delivers intense, aromatic citrus complexity. Korean-grown yuzu tends toward a more concentrated, slightly bitter peel character compared to its Japanese counterpart, and at this proof the volatile citrus oils are preserved and amplified rather than diluted. The result is a spirit where bright grapefruit-like top notes sit atop a firm, dry rice distillate backbone. The 750ml format and high ABV suggest this is positioned for slow, deliberate consumption — neat in small measures, or perhaps diluted with cold water to open up the yuzu aromatics.
