Description
Gondeure Fresh Makgeolli is a 6% ABV unpasteurized makgeolli from Gangwon-do's Jeongseon region, produced by Jeongseon Myeongju Brewery. Its defining feature is the use of Jeongseon-grown gondre (Korean thistle greens) and local potato alongside Korean white rice. The gondre adds an herbaceous, vegetal lift that distinguishes this from standard rice makgeolli, while the potato contributes subtle earthiness and body. At 750ml, it is generously sized for a fresh makgeolli. The texture is creamy and lightly sweet, but the herbal notes prevent it from becoming one-dimensional. Being unpasteurized, it has a limited shelf life and should be consumed fresh to appreciate the lively fermentation character.
