솜솜 막걸리
Somsom Makgeolli is an 8% ABV craft makgeolli from Gangwon-do, distinguished by its minimalist ingredient list of only rice, nuruk, and water. Despite this simplicity, the higher alcohol content gives it notable depth and a fuller mid-palate presence compared to lighter makgeolli styles. The 375ml bottle is a compact format suited for one or two drinkers, and the creamy texture with gentle sweetness stays clean through the finish without turning heavy. Somsom represents the purist approach to makgeolli brewing, where quality ingredients and precise fermentation speak louder than added flavors.

마깨주
Makkaeju is an 11% ABV makgeolli from Gyeonggi-do, brewed with domestic glutinous rice, nuruk, wheat, and purified water in a generous 1,000ml format. The chapssal-and-wheat combination produces a creamy, full-bodied texture with wheat nuruk lending mild breadlike warmth. At 11%, it carries more weight than standard makgeolli, making it a robust table companion that holds up against fried foods, spicy stews, and hearty banchan spreads where volume and richness are both welcome.
