Description
Maesil Wonju Honey is a 13% plum liqueur from Deohan Liquor in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, bottled at 300ml. It is made mostly from yellow plums picked fully ripe around July, with a little green plum. Plums lack the sugar to ferment well on their own, so plum wine aged for over a year is sweetened with Jeju honey instead of sugar and made as a liqueur. It won the grand prize in the liqueur category of the 2013 Korean Liquor Competition and gold at Monde Selection.
