The nose opens with Concord-grape-like intensity: bright berry jam, a candied-violet note, and a whiff of strawberry bubblegum that is distinctly Campbell. The midpalate shows a brief mineral flash — possibly from the Gangwon-do terroir — before settling into a smooth, fruit-forward finish. The sweetness is upfront and continuous but not aggressive — the grape's modest acidity keeps a baseline tension alive, preventing the wine from going completely slack. The shift from sweet to dry reveals a different side of the Campbell varietal — the foxy grape aroma remains, but without sugar softening, the structure underneath becomes visible. The nose shows dark berry, a touch of dried cherry, and a subtle leathery note. On the palate, the body is medium with more grip than the sweet version. The acidity is more pronounced, the tannin firmer, and the midpalate shows a savory inflection that the sweet bottling lacks entirely.
