Jukryeokgo is a 32% ABV bamboo-sap spirit from Jeollabuk-do, distilled from rice, nuruk, and jukryeok (bamboo sap or bamboo dew). Jukryeok — the liquid extracted by heating bamboo — is one of the most distinctive ingredients in Korean traditional distilling, adding a cool, herbal-green nuance that no other botanical can replicate. The rice and nuruk provide the grain foundation, but it is the bamboo sap that defines this spirit's identity: a clean, slightly medicinal freshness that persists through the warm finish. At 700ml and 32%, this is a substantial bottle for slow appreciation.
